Group work, as an integral part of ongoing therapy, is often the key to profound change. I've long believed that while individual therapy lays the foundation, group work serves as the laboratory for transformation.
In our daily lives, we navigate relationships with family, friends, and co-workers, which can sometimes trigger anxiety and depression. By sharing your experiences and processing emotions within the safety of a group setting, you can confront these challenges alongside others who offer support and understanding.
Through my experience, I've observed that connecting with others facing similar struggles often dismantles stigmas, resistance, and fears. In this supportive environment, you'll learn to improve your interactions and gain confidence in expressing your feelings authentically. Ultimately, this process empowers you to cultivate more satisfying relationships with your partner, family, friends, and colleagues. All sessions are conveniently held online, allowing you to connect and engage from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
I currently facilitate an ongoing psychodynamic psychotherapy virtual group. This group, consisting of men and women from diverse backgrounds, meets weekly to embark on a journey of personal growth and change. As individuals complete their therapeutic process and achieve their goals, opportunities arise for new members to join the ongoing groups.
Given the fluid nature of psychotherapy, I continuously assess the dynamics and needs of group members. When necessary, I form additional short-term group therapy sessions with a specific focus.
During the weekly 1 1/2 hour group therapy sessions, members have the opportunity to connect with others who are similarly committed to self-improvement. In this confidential environment, trust is built, and seemingly insurmountable issues are courageously confronted and resolved.
